eCommerce Sales Specialist

Chateau Montelena Winery seeks the right candidate who will have a strong track record in e-commerce sales and e-marketing experience; packaged goods or wine background is a plus. The right candidate must be technologically savvy, know their way around social media, be creative and detail oriented and must also have the following skills:

• Fluent in Stats & Sales Analysis

o Ability to create reports and analyze data to increase sales

• Understanding of SEO and SEM including

o Adwords , placement and analysis

o Understand Keyword Density & Optimization

• Highly organized, detail-oriented and focused on quality control and execution efficiency

• HTML fluency

• Strong interpersonal skills and able to work independently and in a team environment

• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills

• Minimum three-five years of web/web sales experience preferably with a premium or luxury goods retailer This position will report to the Wine Club & eCommerce Manager and will work closely with the Marketing department. Responsibilities will include:

• Maximize web store performance (i.e., conversion rate, average order value, units per transaction), with particular focus on making continuous improvements in:

o Online customer experience

o Online merchandising

o Site searchandising

o Promotions strategy and execution

o Search engine optimization

o Competitive pricing research and analysis

• Responsibility for all website content updates (working with Marketing department), product upload/publishing process and categorization, landing pages

• Liaison to Chateau Montelena Customer Service for product, pricing updates, & information

• Partner with Marketing and Direct-to-Consumer teams to develop compelling content for the internet strategy and marketing calendar to meet sales goals which include natural and paid search programs, affiliate programs, e-mail marketing programs and direct mail

• Timely execution of all e-mail campaigns, homepages, relevant creative content and promotions per the internet marketing calendar in order to drive traffic and increase conversions on the site

• Use web analytics tool (familiarity with bLoyal Or similar CRM software tool) and other tracking tools to make strategic and tactical recommendations, benchmark, measure and analyze results of online marketing initiatives; such as e-mail campaigns, promotions, search engine marketing, and affiliate programs
