Our Wines

At Chateau Montelena winemaking is regarded as a continuous process that begins in the vineyard. That is why we use the term "winegrowing." The distinct characteristics of our vineyards - earth, air, sun and water - create some of the finest wine grapes in the world.

Each year we release 5 wines.

SPRING RELEASE
Montelena Estate Zinfandel
Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
The complex soils in the Estate vineyard - volcanic, alluvial, sedimentary - and the variety of microclimates in the Calistoga district join together to produce unique and distinctive grapes every vintage.

Also released in the Spring, and sold almost entirely in our Tasting Room

Napa Valley Chardonnay
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Our goal to express true varietal character from world-class grapes grown in ideal locations, "The Right Grape in the Right Place," comes to fruition in these wines.
*In 2006 only, all wines were released in the Spring

All are limited production wines, and all (except the Riesling) are available in Fine Wine Shops throughout the country as well as on our website.
