Matt Crafton
A Virginia native who earned a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Virginia in 2003, Matt resisted the siren call of Wall Street to start his career in wine production.
He brings a diverse set of winemaking and viticultural skills to
Chateau Montelena, having worked on both coasts, in Napa and Sonoma
most recently. Matt joined the winery as Enologist in 2008 after
earning his B.S. in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis. He was
promoted to Assistant Winemaker in January, 2010 and makes his home
in Napa with his wife, Julie.
